Ingredients:

  • Crust
  • 500 ml (2 cups) pecans or walnuts
  • 500 ml (2 cups) dates, pitted
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) maple syrup
  • Sea salt
  • Vanilla yogurt
  • 500 ml (2 cups) Oikos Greek yogurt plain
  • Maple syrup, to taste
  • 5 ml (1 teaspoon) vanilla
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Caramelized apples
  • 4 Cortland apples, peeled and quartered
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) maple syrup

Preparation steps

  • Using a food processor, chop the pecans finely and add the dates, maple syrup and salt. Press into individual molds or a large mold.

  • For the vanilla yogurt, mix Oikos Greek yogurt with maple syrup, vanilla and lemon zest.

  • For the caramelized apples, in a frying pan, heat the syrup and caramelize the apples.

  • Top tart bases with yogurt and caramelized apples.
